Traditional and Celtic Progressive Folk

The Hounds of the Sea

Leading Welsh Progressive Folk Band

Hounds of the Sea who play Traditional Irish Songs, Scottish Songs, and all types of Celtic Songs and Instrumentals are a leading Welsh Folk Band.

They have had an enormously successful 2017 playing Festivals and Concerts around the UK, attracting capacity audiences wherever they play, and have been hailed as the Welsh Steeleye Span for their brilliant arrangements of Traditional Folk Songs such as The Twa Corbies.

Their high degree of musicianship, as well as the rhythm  makes everyone want to dance. Perryn's wonderful voice, Holly's irresistible Fiddle tunes, Gaynor's expert and faithful keyboard playing of uilleann pipes, tin whistles, pianos, melodians, bazoukis, string sections, and many more textures, and Mike's bass playing, not to mention the vocal harmonies.  The Hounds line up of multi-vocals, Guitars, Mandolins, Fiddles, keyboards, bass and drums gives a dynamic sound, which is the best of Folk Music with an infectious energy.

The Hounds have great presence when performing and are immensely likeable, always delivering a fantastic performance, with great humour. Once seen, never forgotten.
